Marine vinyl is the workhorse of boat upholstery. It has a UV-stabilized PVC face with a knit or woven backing that resists mildew and salt water. It is not fancy, but it stands up to conditions that would destroy most other materials. Available in a wide range of colors and textures from suppliers like Spradling and Naugahyde. Price varies a lot by grade.
